Alyssa Acosta

Alyssa Acosta is a passionate and versatile dancer with a strong background in ballet and contemporary performance.  Acosta trained at Champion Dance Studio and West Texas Ballet School in El Paso, Texas, and also studied at the renowned Jillana’s School of Ballet in Taos, New Mexico. With a dynamic range and expressive artistry, she went on to train with the West Texas A&M University Dance Program. She has appeared in a wide range of productions, including The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rainforest as a soloist with Lone Star Ballet. Additional performance highlights include the role of the Arabian Soloist in The Nutcracker, the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, and featured appearances in Portraits of Dance and Falling Into Dance at West Texas A&M.

Beyond collegiate and company work, she has performed as a guest artist in projects such as Jack the Ripper with Savanah Richeda and Live in Concert with Reagan Crandall. In 2024, Acosta performed as Wisp in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Shakespeare on the Rocks and as a featured dancer in the Texas Outdoor Musical.
